Worlds Left Behind

An artwork in which self-selecting members of the public draw a map of a place they have left behind, however interpreted. The artist was present to answer any questions the cartographer might have about mapping, memory, or place.

Conceived in discussion with Auckland Libraries, participants’ drawings are gifted with their permission to the Sir George Grey Special Collections, MS 2095.

First iteration through White Nights, 12 March 2016. A second event via Auckland Libraries was held and the drawings added to the collection above.
