Each painting is encaustic on marine ply. 60cm x 60cm x 3cm.

Based on several Sudoku games played by the artist, the image of the numbers appear to sink into or emerge from the layers of wax. Each game was eventually completed but a state before completion, when stuck or taking too long, was photographed for use in the paintings.
