Outdoor projections at Silo Park, Wynyard Quarter, Auckland.

Made for SCAPE Biennale of Contemporary Art 2010, this project was initially designed for the Cashel Street Mall in Christchurch where water appearing to run down the sides of buildings, just above people’s heads, seemed a salient reminder of then controversial, ECAN water-related issues in Canterbury. The opening of SCAPE 2010 was postponed due to the first 7.3 magnitude earthquake. A decision was made between the artist, curator and director that the project did not seem appropriate to hold in Christchurch in the immediate post-quake period.

With thanks to SCAPE Director Deborah McCormick, Curators Blair French, Julia Morison, William Field, and to Spyglass for their support and projection expertise.
